Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (SASLP), Pune was established in 2006 and is renowned for its academic excellence and infrastructural facilities. The School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and the programs conducted by BV(DU) SASLP are recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India.

The SASLP is situated on main Pune – Satara Road in the southern part of Pune city about 5 km from Swargate (one of the major bus terminus in the city). The School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and attached Medical College, teaching hospital occupy 25 acres of land on a sprawling lush green campus.

The Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) and the Medical College have been awarded ‘A+' Accreditation (Third Cycle) by 'NAAC' in 2017, Category-I Deemed to be University Grade by UGC and 'A' Grade by Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The SASLP is attached to Bharati Hospital. The hospital is approved as a ‘Centre of Excellence for Mother and Child Health & Eclampsia’ by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Bharati Hospital has been awarded the A + grade by Government of Maharashtra under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (Formerly - Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana).

The School of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology conducts an undergraduate program, Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (B.ASLP) and postgraduate program Msc (Audiology) and Msc (Speech Language Pathology). The syllabus and the training pattern of the B.ASLP, Msc (Audiology), and Msc (Speech Language Pathology) courses are in accordance with the recommendations of the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi and is approved by the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). The University has kept an excellent balance between theoretical and clinical training so as to develop both professional judgment and scientific competence for the trained audiologist and speech language pathologist.

The college has qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members who give theoretical as well as practical training. The theoretical teaching is done using audio-visual aids such as overhead and LCD projectors. The students are encouraged to do reference work. Seminars are conducted in class to improve presentation skills of students. Research is an integral part of training and students are trained and encouraged to conduct research projects under the guidance of the staff. The School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology aims to train the students to be responsible, knowledgeable and sensitive clinicians.
